Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex TV - Slow and Sluggish

The Indian market has seen a lot of HD media players being launched recently with manufacturers fitting the best possible features in the most compact sizes. We recently reviewed the TViX SlimS1 HD, iXtreamer, which were some of the higher end models...

The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex TV is an extremely slow device. There are some stability issues as well, which should hopefully be fixed with some firmware updates. Priced at an MRP of Rs. 8,750, it's not a very expensive player. If it was faster and a...

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Slim 320 GB - Free of Flab!

If you ever need to carry your data from one PC to another, you're bound to use a flash drive or a portable hard drive. Portable hard drives offer better value for money than flash drives. You can easily pick up a 250 GB or 320 GB drive for around Rs....

Seagate is selling the GoFlex Slim 320GB for Rs. 4,500. It’s more than twice the price of a standard size 320GB USB 2.0 drive. We won’t recommend this drive to our mainstream audience as it’s not exactly value for money. However, it is more stylish and...

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex TV HD

A versatile media player that can handle music, photos, and streaming videos from your home network and the Internet.

Quick setup and easy navigation ; Affordably priced ; Support for a wide range of Internet services

Network playback can be slow ; Some features available only via the remote

Seagate's affordably priced full-fledged media player is quite a handful with its support for photos, audio, video, and even content streamed from the Internet or from other networked devices at home.

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-portable review

The FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-portable is an upgrade to Seagate's excellent FreeAgent GoFlex Pro that increases the storage amount to 1.5TB, making it the largest single-volume portable external hard drive to date. The drive is also the first in the...

The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-portable offers great flexibility, USB 3.0, and a large amount of storage. It also works with both Macs and PCs without having to be reformatted.

The GoFlex Ultra's USB 3.0 performance could be better and the drive doesn't include a USB 3.0 add-in card for computers that don't yet have this connection.

Even with the slightly low USB 3.0 performance, the GoFlex Ultra still makes an excellent portable external hard drive for people who need to expand their computer's storage.

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex TV review: Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex TV

Last year we reviewed Seagate's FreeAgent Theater+ Media Player and generally liked what we saw, particularly the device's ability to play back most file formats. For 2010, Seagate has put out an updated version of that product that offers very similar...

Built-in Ethernet for streaming files from a networked PC or accessing Internet services; supports Netflix streaming and other online media access; HD output up to 1080p; integrated slot for FreeAgent GoFlex storage drive; compact, stylish design; you...

No built-in Wi-Fi (wireless option costs an extra $50); Blu-ray players with similar features are available for not much more money; the drive sticks out when installed; Seagate's 1TB GoFlex drive doesn't fit inside the device; no Pandora streaming.

The inclusion of Netflix and other online-streaming options make the FreeAgent GoFlex TV a compelling option for file hoarders who also want access to cloud-based media.
