Logitech Squeezebox Boom Network Music System - Tech2

A compact, well built product with great sound quality even in wireless mode, but heavy on the pocket.

Logitech Squeezebox Boom

Logitech's Squeezebox Boom is a media streamer that combines all the functionality of previous Squeezebox products with an updated control system and ...

Impeccable network streaming implementation, very easy to use, great sound

A few niggles with the interface and set up

Apart from a few small grievances we feel that the Logitech Squeezebox Boom is far and away the best all-in-one music streamer on the market.

Logitech Squeezebox Boom

Got a large digital music collection you want to access around the home? The Squeezebox Boom could be right up your street.

out of place. At least it functions as you'd expect and has a decent range. There's even a dedicated snooze/sleep button so you don't have to get out of bed before rolling over for another ten minutes beauty sleep.

Review: Logitech Squeezebox Boom

Give us enough time and equipment and we'll put a speaker on anything. Seriously, a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. Cars, televisions, wrist watches — just about every gadget is...

Fantastically clear audio quality given its size. Supports a host of alarm and snooze functions. Magnetic remote sticks to the top of unit. Dual antennas ensure buttery smooth audio streams. Offers two-week backup battery for alarm functions. Supports...

Unexciting (yet functional) design. A veritable desert for audio outputs. Occasional slow response from the remote. No DRM support can mean trouble for protected iTunes/Zune libraries. Stick to the remote — the glossy black chassis is a fingerprint...

Logitech Squeezebox Boom

Logitech's latest Squeezebox features a sexy design and excellent-sounding speakers.

Compact and attractive. Streams tunes from your PC's music library. Robust audio codec support. Plays Internet radio and services like Slacker, Rhapsody, and Pandora. Speakers offer laudable power. Magnetic remote is easy to keep track of.

Menu navigation can be confusing. System can be slow to retrieve songs from PC libraries, music services.

Logitech Squeezebox Boom review

It seems curious that, after almost a decade of music streaming, adding a Wi-Fi or Ethernet port to a fairly standard mini hi-fi like the Philips Streamium seems to add a zero to its price tag. Finally, though, complete streaming systems like the...

Logitech Squeezebox Boom

A powerful all-in-one streaming music player that's a great choice for Internet radio fans.

At $299, the Logitech Squeezebox Boom is an expensive but versatile wireless music system. Its ease of setup and portability will make it more than attractive for those who want access to numerous music options without always having to bring a laptop...
