Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review: The return of the Note series

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review: Priced at Rs 67,900, this smartphone is one of the best flagships in the market. For Note fans, this upgrade might be worth it.

If you’ve been waiting to upgrade to the Galaxy Note 5, the Note 8 is a no-brainer. It offers a host of new features, a stunning camera, though the battery life might not seem so impressive. For Note fans, the upgrade will seem worth it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Review

With the Note 8, Samsung is indeed back with a bang (pun intended). The Galaxy Note 8 is the best Note the company has ever made.

S-Pen ; Great camera ; Beautiful design

Expensive ; Just a work day's battery life ; Fingerprint scanner placement can be frustrating

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is meant for those who want a no compromise Android phone, and don't mind what it costs them. It's a no brainer for Note lovers and makes a lot of sense for others as well.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 Review – Note is back

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the 6th generation of the Galaxy Note series (excluding the disastrous Galaxy Note7), after the Galaxy Note5 which launched 2 years back, Samsung skipped Galaxy Note6, and Galaxy Note7 came up with a fire story that could put...

Curved and Edge-to-Edge Screen ; Excellent Display Quality, High Brightness ; S-Pen works great ; SSD-like storage performance, USB 3.1 ; Top-notch CPU and GPU ; IP68 Certified (Dust-proof and Water Resistant) ; Iris Scanner and Wireless Charging...

Average Battery Life ; Fingerprint Scanner Placement is Awkward ; Slippery, May Fall From Wet Hands ; Expensive

There’s no question, Galaxy Note8 is the most powerful device Samsung has ever made. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a modern smartphone with cutting-edge technology but at a premium price. A flagship smartphone with a new bezel-less design, amazing Super...

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review: Is Samsung's 6.3-inch, stylus-wielding dual-camera phone enough to beat the phablet competition?

Stunning design and build ; Great screen ; Well-implemented stylus and software ; Superb cameras

Average battery life ; Wildly expensive

A worthy comeback for the Galaxy Note brand. The Note 8 has an excellent camera and stunning display, but the battery could be better.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review: Excellent, but still a tough sell

With its exceptional screen, solid performance and an improved S Pen, it's no surprise that Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 is its best big phone ever. It also doesn't hurt that it has one of the best dual camera setups we've ever seen. The problem is,...

Huge, beautiful display ; Excellent, water-resistant build ; Great dual camera ; S Pen is now more useful and fun

Very expensive ; Bixby can be flaky ; Not a huge improvement over the S8 Plus ; US version gets less storage than other regions

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review

From the dual camera and S Pen, to the gorgeous Infinity Display, the Galaxy Note 8 is an all-around fantastic phone.

Good dual cameras ; Daylong battery life ; Speedy performance ; Handy S Pen features ; Waterproof

Expensive ; Live Focus needs some work ; Poor fingerprint sensor placement

The Galaxy Note 8 is a great phone all-around phone, with a great dual-camera setup, speedy performance, useful software features and S Pen, and IP68 waterproofing. But there are no distinguishing features that get us excited about it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review

Looking for a big-screen phone? This Samsung needs to be high on your shortlist

Large, bright screen ; Well built ; Decent audio, with hi-res support ; Great cameras ; S Pen functionality is well integrated

Battery life could be better ; Very expensive

After a tricky year and a few lessons learned, the Note 8 is back to winning ways

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Phone review

Editor's note : The Galaxy Note 8 is now on sale in select markets, including the US.

The Galaxy Note 8 tops Samsung's already excellent S8 and S8 Plus with dual cameras and a boatload of stylus tricks. It's the most feature-rich Android phone you can buy.

An expensive phone, the Note 8 has more features than most people will need. Samsung's portrait mode can be finicky. The poorly placed fingerprint reader repeats the Galaxy S8's worst design flaw.

The Galaxy Note 8 retakes the throne as the ultimate Android phone for now, but some intense competition is just over the horizon.

Galaxy Note8: Features, specs and everything else you need to know

The follow-up to Samsung's ill-fated Note 7, the Galaxy Note 8 is the pinnacle of Samsung's phone design.

Not yet. The Note 8 ships with the Samsung Experience based on Android Nougat 7.1.1. However, Google has said it is working with Samsung to get some of its handsets updated to Oreo before the end of the year.
