Toshiba Camileo X-Sports

Hands-on: See the Toshiba action cam focused on knocking GoPro off its action cam perch.

The Toshiba Camileo X-Sports is compact, easy to use and comes with a host of accessories to rival the GoPro. The true test will be in the shooting quality, but so far, we are impressed with what we've seen from this tiny little action cam.

Toshiba Camileo X-Sports action camera review

Sports cameras have attracted a lot of interest in recent times, with the Camileo X-Sports marking Toshiba's first foray into the market. Overall, there's a lot to like about the Toshiba Camileo X-Sports. The options it offers and the quality of the...

Price, video quality, lots of accessories in the box

Battery life, larger than competitors, controls a little fiddly, yellow cast

Overall, there's a lot to like about the Toshiba Camileo X-Sports. The options it offers and the quality of the results are good, albeit not best in class.

Toshiba Camileo X-Sports review

An afforable action camera to challenge GoPro

Remote control supplied ; Wi-Fi built-in ; LCD built-in

Buttons unresponsive when used in case ; Battery life limited ; Screen hard to see in bright light

Toshiba has put together a pretty enticing package that offers decent value for money. GoPro Hero3+ videos look a little better, but the X-Sports output comes very close and the Toshiba camera costs a lot less.

Review: Toshiba Camileo X-Sports HD camcorder

The Camileo X-Sports is Toshiba's answer to a GoPro camcorder. At £180 (US$300), it lines up against GoPro's entry level Hero3, which itself retails for £199 ($330). Gizmag took a look at the Camileo X-Sports' specifications and how it performs.

At 94 g (3.3 oz), the Camileo is a little heavier than the GoPro, which comes in at 74 g (2.6 oz), but it's more compact, measuring 5 x 7 x 3 cm (1.9 x 2.9 x 1.2 in) against the GoPro's 10 x 25 x 10 cm (3.9 x 9.6 x 3.9 in).

Excellent camera

This camera is small lightweight and has an excellent picture, the sound recording on it even when at full record settings is quiet and quite directional. If your looking for sound over picture then this may not be for you. Other than that and the fact...

Its got the GoPro Hero3+ Black matched & for less

The Toshiba Camileo X-Sport is a brilliant little camera. Competing directly against the GoPro Hero 3+ Black the Camileo has it matched for substantially less. I purchased the Camileo after reading lots of reviews and comparisons simply because I...

One of the worst buys

I bought Camileo X200 from JB Hi-Fi, I was looking for a simple, economical and a product that can do what it is meant for. I was told by the person on the counter that this product has got all the features and it is compact as well as economical. This...
