Canon XC10 Review

Hybrid cameras are those capable of capturing both high-quality stills and video. Although they have been around since the release of the Nikon D90 and Canon 5D Mark II, a professional mirrorless hybrid camera is a new category for Canon. When Canon...

Canon XC10

The XC10 is Canon's entry-level Cinema EOS camera. However, it's a rather different beast compared to other members of the Cinema EOS range, such as the C100.

Brilliant 4K image quality ; Built-in lens offers 10x zoom ; Better 12-megapixel stills than most camcorders

Non-interchangeable lens ; 4K only recorded to expensive CFast 2.0 cards ; No XLR audio inputs

The Canon XC10 isn't quite the DSLR-camcorder hybrid it promises to be, but it shoots great 4K footage.

Canon thinks different about 4K recording with XC10

Canon saunters in to the prosumer 4K recording party, late as usual.

I'm not quite sure who this camera is for either; it seems like it's 90 percent there for a lot of different things. I'm darn curious to give it a try, though. It's slated to ship this May.

Canon XC10 Review

If you're a professional, the time has come for a 4K upgrade! Most consumers might not yet have made the upgrade to a 4K display, but there's a big push behind the ultra high-definition standard, and even if you're producing plain old high-def content,...

Awesome 4K Stealth Camera/Pocket Cam!

I bought this for the image quality and am not disappointed.

Most Misunderstood Camera of 2015

I am a professional shooter, and bought the Canon XC10 (from B&H) to use along with my C100 Mark II, and FS700R/Odyssey 7Q. Sorry about the long review...;)

Nice camera with HUGE workflow issues

I really, really wanted to like this camera. It's a nice size and weight, and is customizable enough to make work in run-and-gun situations (shooting in-car ridealongs) that I would need it to. The autofocus (as you might expect) is VERY slow on the...

Enjoying the new Canon XC10

I have been using this little monster a lot lately. But first let me address some issues that have been spread about it on the internet. First, people say ISO adjustment is hard to do. They say you cant adjust it from the wheel on top. Well there is a...

Expensive but worth it!

I've been filming with the C300 for the past couple of years and love the camera. The XC10 is the perfect add-on to the C300! It's a fantastic camera that matches the footage of a C300 without a doubt! I purchased the camera for more intimate moments,...

Shows promise, but too many problems.

I'm a one person operation that shoots a lot of green screen footage. The XC10 looked like it checked a lot of boxes for me: 422 color (good for keying), very portable, great ergonomics, 4K for framing in post, etc. Once I had the chance to work with...
